Anyone who has met Michael knows how passionate he is about developing a love for health and fitness in others. He studied Recreation and Leisure Management in his home country Ireland and has worked in the fitness industry ever since.

Mike moved to Perth in 2012 and worked as a Gym Instructor and Manager, a Personal Trainer, Personal Training Team Manager and a Health and Fitness coordinator in a recreation centre. 


He is currently working as a recreation centre manager for a Local Government, leading a large team to deliver various health and fitness programs and services to the community.

Mike also has a passion for promoting the positive links between exercise and mental health and encouraging conversations around mental health. He creates awareness and drives this through his social media channel Mental MVMT.

Mike brings a combination of extensive fitness industry knowledge and experience as we as the ability to focus on the mental health benefits (improved mood, better sleep, reduction in stress, ability to maintain healthy relationships etc) to his coaching which results in his athletes achieving both personal and running goals.


Through his years being a coach, and coaching teams of coaches, Michael has noticed a few major trends when it comes to client success which he will incorporate into your plan:


- Your plan will fit into your life

- We will add in more of what you enjoy

- We will focus more on systems (weekly training habits) than goals

- You will be given a platform for honest conversations and feedback

- Most of all, we will remember that running should bring joy to your life and not add stress to it, your program will be planned with this in mind


With Mike as your coach, you will have someone who is invested in your running journey and genuinely cares about helping you. Combine this with years of coaching experience and a detailed knowledge of run programming, you will be in very good hands!
